About Captain Goran, The Viking

Goran has spent most of his life on the sea, in boats, a natural thing when growing up on a small island outside Gothenburg in Sweden.
Goran started as commercial fisherman and seaman, and later got connected with sailing, tourism and diving industry in Tobago.
In 1983 he started his "around the world" sailing, got stuck in the Gran Canaries, and started working on boats with deep sea fishing looking for tuna, marlin etc.
After some years in the Adriatic Sea, Goran learned the most about the deep sea fishing.
In 1989 Goran once more attempted to sail around the world, this time he got stuck in Tobago. Here he started his dive center, "Manta Dive Center", and his fishing business "Viking Fishing Tobago".
Goran has been around in the Caribbean for about 20 years now, competed in many fishing competitions, with his own boat "Viking IV" and others.
With Goran as captain, together with local anglers and tourists chartering Viking IV, they have achieved many good results in competitions around the Caribbean sea.
Last year he and his fishing team competed in the IFGA competition in Charlotteville, and earned a position for the World Championship in Mexico 2008.
